Why we can promise this
Greenote already gives you a 7-day free trial with no card, so most people know it fits before paying a rupee. The guarantee simply extends that confidence past the payment: if anything about the purchase doesn’t sit right in the first 7 days, the money comes straight back.
How to request a refund
Self-serve, from your dashboard. No emails required:
- Sign in to your Greenote dashboard
- Open Billing, find the payment, and click Request refund
That’s it. Prefer a human? Email support@greenote.app from your registered address with the payment reference and we’ll process it for you.
When you get your money
5–7 working days, to the original payment method. Refunds are processed through Razorpay back to whatever you paid with - card, UPI or netbanking. We initiate the refund as soon as your request comes in; the 5–7 working days is the time banks typically take to show it in your account. You’ll get an email confirmation when the refund is initiated.
What happens to your licence
The licence deactivates when the refund is issued. The app stops converting new statements on the refunded seats, exactly as when a trial ends. Everything you already produced - vouchers, exports, your Tally data - stays on your PC and stays yours; nothing is deleted from your machine.
After the 7-day window
Refunds after 7 days are at our discretion. Write to support@greenote.app and explain the situation - we’re reasonable people, and genuine problems (like a duplicate payment or the app not working on your setup despite our help) are treated generously. What we can’t promise outside the window is the automatic no-questions guarantee.
Check your own statements during the trial
The 7-day trial exists so you can test your firm’s real files. Greenote reads bank statements supplied as PDF, Excel or CSV containing selectable text, from any bank - the Supported formats page defines that scope exactly, and has sample files you can download before you install anything.
Scanned statements and PDFs with scrambled text encoding are outside it - in both, the page contains no readable text for any software to read. Since the trial is free, needs no card, and takes your own statements, please confirm your files read before you pay. Buying without checking, and then finding a format we have already declared unsupported, is not something we can treat as a fault in the product - though inside the first 7 days you are covered by the no-questions refund above regardless of the reason.
Cancellation - there is nothing to cancel
The trial costs nothing. It needs no card, so when it ends nothing is charged and there is nothing to cancel.
There is no auto-debit, ever. Every Greenote payment is a one-time payment. No subscriptions, no mandates, no recurring charges quietly renewing in the background - which means there is no “cancel my subscription” step to worry about. When your annual licence is due, we email you a renewal link and renewing is always your explicit choice.
